with a pool
In Queensland, leasing a property with a pool requires a valid pool safety certificate. For non-shared pools, the certificate is valid for 2 years, while for shared pools, it must be renewed every 12 months to remain compliant.

Commercial properties in Queensland—such as resorts, hotels, motels, and caravan parks—are required to have a current pool safety certificate to ensure compliance with state regulations.
Selling / Buying property with a pool
If you’re selling a property in Queensland with a pool, you’re legally required to obtain a current pool safety certificate before the contract or lease is finalised.
You will need a pool safety inspection certificate as:
